Project Description
Website Conversion to ASP -- Winter 1997 http://www.norcal-crs.org/
The Northern California CRS (Certified Residential Specialist) Chapter in Santa Rosa, California desired their website to be dynamic and up-to-date. They contracted us to convert their website to ASP (Active Server Pages). This conversion eliminated the need to maintain their data separately in different applications, i.e. Microsoft Access Database and HTML coding of their web pages. h p c h.com modified their existing Access database and rewrote their existing web pages so that data from their database would automatically be posted to their website, eliminating the need for the webmaster (HTML programmer) to periodically change the website's HTML coding. Each time they upload their database to the web server, the appropriate web pages in their website are automatically updated. The ASP conversion facilitated the design of a search mechanism to search their database of over 600 agents by name and/or city. Contact Ms. Laura Clark, Administrator, for reference.
Website Designed in ASP -- Summer 1998 http://www.ridgecrestcapital.com/
Ridgecrest Capital, LLC in Albuquerque, New Mexico hired h p c h.com to design their website using Active Server Pages. They intend to present "active" display in the near future. An investment advisory and consulting firm serving the US, Ridgecrest Capital specializes in money management, retirement planning, financial planning, investor education, and business consulting. For reference, please contact Mr. William E. Hauenstein, Managing Director.
Partial Website Conversion to ASP -- Spring 1998 http://www.rmmc.com/
Rocky Mountain Mortgage Company in El Paso, Texas wanted certain critical sections of their website to be dynamic and up-to-date. This company (who manages most of the commercial as well as residential property mortgages in the El Paso metropolitan area) contracted us to convert their "Mortgage Interest Rates at a Glance", "Mortgage Interest Rates", and "Mortgage Prequalification Application" web documents to ASP (Active Server Pages). h p c h.com created an Access97 database for their rate tables, previously maintained in an Excel spreadsheet, including nifty Access forms for editing ease. We programmed an Access97 form button on this database table to facilitate the upload of their production database (residing on a pc in their office) rate tables via HTTP (Hyper Text Transfer Protocol) to update the database on their server. This process automatically updates the tables and indicators existing on the converted web pages at client request (each time a web browser opens those pages). h p c h.com programmed the Prequalification input form to output the form input data to the RMMC e-mail server and to update an additional table we created on their Access database. Send e-mail to Mr. Thomas H. Kennedy, Vice President, for reference.
Database Search Application -- Winter 1998 http://www.elpasocars.com/
El Paso Cars.com has a searchable database of new and used cars and trucks for sale in the El Paso, Texas and Las Cruces, New Mexico area. This system involves not only ASP technology but also Windows application software written to automatically retrieve information and update the web database to free personnel from this task and eliminate the duplication of work. This same system will be used by the Hoy Fox Automotive Group. Contact El Paso Interactive, the web design company, for referral.
Request for Information (ASP) -- Fall 1997 http://www.realtycenter.com
The Request for Information purchased by Realty Center of Chattanooga was programmed using ASP (Active Server Pages) to process form input data and provides an acknowledgment return page, email to an administrator (and/or any number of qualified recipients), and a text database for download and import into a spreadsheet or word processor for analysis. The email to the assigned individual(s) is formatted for reading ease. The text database is tab-delimited. The RFI (ASP version) includes a table that will direct email addressing as well as "return to" specifications. Purchase of the Request for Information includes page (input form and return) setup with your navigation bar, background, logo, and font. It also includes your own questions, if the questions already existing are not applicable to your business. If you visit and submit the Request for Information from h p c h.com's Web Projects Page, email will be sent to the Webmaster at Realty Center, not h p c h.com. Contact Mr. Malcom Ramey, Technology Director, for reference.
Online Mortgage Calculator (ASP) -- Fall 1997 http://www.realtycenter.com
This Online Mortgage Calculator purchased by Realty Center of Chattanooga was programmed using ASP (Active Server Pages) to process form input data. It provides a return page containing: (1) the amount of monthly payment if interest rate, financed amount, and term are input; or (2) the financed amount if monthly payment, interest rate, and term are input. The return page provides several detailed reports. The report display can be selected on the input page: plain text, plain tables, and fancy frames. The Online Mortgage Calculator (ASP version) requires Windows NT. Contact Mr. Malcom Ramey, Technology Director, for reference.
Database Search Application -- Summer 1997 http://metro.net/pcam/asp/faq/faqstartuser.asp
The Pacific Coast Air Museum's Frequently Asked Questions interactive web application was one of h p c h.com's first web applications written using ASP (Active Server Pages) programming which utilizes VBScript (Visual Basic Scripting Language), SQL (Structured Query Language), and HTML (HyperText Markup Language). The PCAM FAQ sends an email notification to the webmaster that a new question has been added. The webmaster then connects to an administration page, accessed by password, to post the answers to the questions. Contact Ms. Cynthia Furst, Webmaster, for reference.
ChooChooNet -- Summer 1997 ChooChooNet is now offline
The ChooChooNet of Chattanooga, Tennessee web site was designed using frames with a "no-frames" version available for visitors whose browsers are not frame capable. When such browsers encounter the HTML markup indicating a frame design, the markup is ignored. And if there is no "no-frames" tag, the visitor wonders just what is he supposed to see? Writing a no-frames version could involve a whole new set of HTML documents. Glenda made use of "sound" on this site and the midi file may be downloaded by clicking the music notes graphic displayed on the upper right area of the web page. (I absolutely had to play "Chattanooga ChooChoo" on this page!) Contact Mr. Malcom Ramey, Webmaster, for reference.
Online Mortgage Calculator (PERL) -- Spring 1997 http://www.ppmonline.com/mc0000.html
The Online Mortgage Calculator uses PERL programming language to process form input data and provides a return page containing: (1) the amount of monthly payment if interest rate, financed amount, and term are input, or (2) the financed amount if monthly payment, interest rate, and term are input. The return page provides several detailed reports. The report display can be selected on the input: plain text, plain tables, and fancy frames. The Online Mortgage Calculator includes a table that contains "return to" specifications. Purchase of the Online Mortgage Calculator includes (1) page (input form and return) setup with your navigation bar, background, logo, and font; (2) cgi setup; and (3) security for your investment. If you visit the Online Mortgage Calculator from h p c h.com's Web Projects Page, please don't hesitate to fill out the form and click the submit button. Your input will be processed. Polley Polley and Madsen Realtors, located in the heart of California's wine country, has purchased our custom designed Online Mortgage Calculator application for their Website. Contact Ms. Cynthia Furst, Webmaster, for reference.
Graphics (Slideshow) -- Spring 1997 http://www.metro.net/pcam/slideshow.html
Pacific Coast Air Museum - Slideshow was created using .gif format photos. The 22 photos used to create this slideshow were downloaded from PCAM's server (in California), sequenced using Gif Construction Kit, then the resulting moveable gif was uploaded to PCAM's server. Pacific Coast Air Museum graciously provided h p c h.com (formerly Home PC Helpers) recognition for our work. Fascinating how work can be done these days without ever touching a piece of paper! Contact Ms. Cynthia Furst, Webmaster, for reference.
Graphics -- Spring 1997 http://www.ppmonline.com/bcasey.html
The house with smoke and the beating heart graphics were designed for Cynthia Furst's Webnet Express who displays them on Bev Casey's Sonoma County (California) Realtor page.
